JAMES W CULBERSON

 

PFC James W Culberson arrived in Vietnam in 1968 and was assigned to A/2-501 IN, 1st platoon. He was on our "Roster Number 5" dated 5 April 1969. I included him on our Avenger list in lieu of the Originals.

OBITUARY

James (Jimmy) W. Culberson passed away peacefully on Monday January 11th, 2021 at the age of 71. There will be no service at this time, the family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

James born in Greensboro, GA to the late Harold Culberson and Sarah Hallman of Eatonton, GA. James was married to Charlotte Wagner for the past 50 years. They had two children a son Jamey Culberson (Christine), daughter Rene Cason (Jesse), 8 grandkids Justin Fluker, Kaleb Fluker, Megan Cason, Trey Culberson, Merritt Culberson, Trevor Culberson, Tanner Culberson and McKeena Bradley, and numerous nieces and nephews. James is also survived by a sister Peggy Allen of Eatonton. James served 5 years in the United States Army having served 2 tours of duty in Viet Nam and was a recipient of a Purple Heart. He worked for the telephone company in Milledgeville most of his life, and made many friends while being with GTE, Alltel and Windstream.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his wife Charlotte Wagner; his children, Jamey Culberson (Christine) and Rene Cason (Jesse); his grandchildren, Justin Fluker, Kaleb Fluker, Megan Cason, Trey Culberson, Merritt Culberson, Trevor Culberson, Tanner Culberson and McKeena Bradley; and his sister Peggy Allen of Eatonton.
