Obituary for Larry Dean Mcinturff

Larry Dean McInturff, age 69, Green Mountain, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. He lived most of his life in Unicoi County before moving to Green Mountain. Larry was a son of the late Jack and Jean Barrett McInturff.

He was a United States Army Veteran having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Larry was awarded the NDSM, AFEM (Korea), VSM, BSM, SPS M-16, MKH M-14, Good Conduct Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge.

He was a retired Independent Truck Driver with thirty years of service. Larry studied the bible and worshiped from his home. He was a member of the NRA and VFW.

Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith McInturff. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of eight years, Rebecca Ledford McInturff; one son, Matt Dean McInturff, Daytona Beach, FL; one daughter, Michele Woodward (Marty), Erwin; three brothers: Chris McInturff (Joyce Ann) Murfreesboro, TN, Dwight McInturff (Geri), Benton, AR, Robert McInturff, Kingsport; two grandchildren: Dakota Woodward and Chelsie Casey; several nieces and nephews also survive.
